

Christine never met a stranger she was loved by all and every one of her children's and grandchildren's’ friends knew her as mom or granny. She loved to crochet in her spare time and do cross word puzzles. She was a woman so of course she loved to shop. She was always willing to jump in where needed, like at her son’s baseball practice they were short a player and she filled in like one of the kids. She was retired from the city as a School Traffic Officer after 25yrs of service. She worked many other jobs throughout her life such as, private investigator, taxi driver, cotton mill worker, and at Scott paper during WWII while the men were at war. Christine grew up in Snead Community in Blount County. Her parents were some of the first Jehovah Witnesses in their area. She was a proud member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses located at 4725 Schillenger Rd s. Granny will be greatly missed by all and we will cherish all the stories of her life she shared with us.
Christine was proceeded in death by her parents James and MInnie Robinson, ex-husbands Willard Jimmerson, Frank Holland, her children Sam Jimmerson, Phillip Jimmerson, Weldon Jimmerson, and her siblings Charlie Robinson, Ollie Fountain, Nellie Ballew, Josie Nimmons, Leola Laird, Beck Robinson, Sue Smith, Leon Mayo, Mildred Simmons, and Margaree Murray.
She is survived by her husband Donald Powell of 33yrs, her children Linda Henry (Mike Henry), Frank Holland, Lisa Kittrell, daughter in-laws Brenda Jimmerson, Sandra Jimmerson, Randy Jimmerson, her grandchildren, Jimmy Jimmerson, Lori White, Craig Jimmerson, Sheila Brumbeloe, Tracy Ashley, Tasha Gainey, Denny Jimmerson, David Jimmerson, Robert Holland, Joshua Yaeger (Brandi Yaeger), Christina Yaeger, Mark Pierce, Kenza Holland, Michael Pierce Jr (step grandson), two great grandchildren she helped raise Desaree’ and Courtney Yaeger and many other great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
A visitation for Christine will be held Friday, December 17, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Pine Crest Funeral Home, 1939 Dauphin Island Parkway, Mobile, AL 36605, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM. in the chapel with interment following in Pine Crest Cemetery West, Mobile, AL.
