Clarissa "Cassie" Schley Beritiech

Clarissa Schley Beritiech (Classie), 71 passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on February 13, 2025. She was born in Mobile, AL to Jack & Ann Schley on November 21, 1953. In her early years she was raised in Todd Acres, as one of four children.

She grew up fishing, shooting marbles & playing paper dolls with her sister, Georgia. She made her home on Dauphin Island for fifty one years with her husband, Tony where they raised two children, Ann & Matthew. Her home had the pitter patter of many children over the years where beautiful memories were made. She worked very hard over the years from the Seahouse to the Sea Lab. She made many lifelong friends near and far and at her retirement she spent all of her time spoiling her grandbabies. She was an avid reader, Boston terrier lover & Elvis Presley’s biggest fan. The passion she had for cooking was amazing & she mastered every meal she prepared, especially her Gumbo. She was such a wonderful Mama, the very best “Sissy” to her grandbabies, Aunt Belle to her bonus daughter, Pamela and she deeply loved all of her very special nieces & nephews.

She is preceded in death by her father (Jack), Mother (Ann), Husband (Tony), brothers (Joe Schley and Chuck Schley) & great grandson (Roman). She is survived by her sister (Georgia) (Darrell), daughter (Ann), son (Matthew (Kristen) Four grandchildren, Lauren, Taylor, Reagan & Adelynn. Three great grandchildren, Elijah, Luke & Merci Ann.
