

Clyde was preceded in death by his parents; and his sister, Joann Vance. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Sarah Grantham Skeen; children Darlene Slaughter (Robert), Clyde Armstead Skeen III (Nina), Charles Dennis Marshall (Mechele), David C. Marshall, and Clark D. Marshall (Tammi); a sister, Cherie Elizabeth Skeen; and grandchildren, Carlton Marshall, Chase Marshall, Parker Marshall, Hope Marshall, Hunter Minto, Mitchell Slaughter, Noah Slaughter, Taylor Marshall (Katelyn), Heather Dunn (Josh), and Chandler Marshall; and five great-grandchildren.
He grew up on West Lee Street, and made it a Christmas tradition to get together with his childhood neighbors and friends. Clyde was a lifeguard at the community pool in Chickasaw. He was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church in Daphne, Alabama. Clyde worked at and retired from Kimberly-Clark after 32 years. Clyde loved Alabama football "roll tide" and playing golf with his friends at Timber Creek Golf Course. He also spent a lot of his time in "Facebook Jail" so his friends jokingly called him a jailbird.
Memorial mass will be held Monday, December 20th at 2 p.m. at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Chickasaw, Alabama.
