

Dan L. Hampton - Born September 6, 1947, in Monroe, LA, raised in Delhi, LA, and a resident of Mobile since 1995, died Monday, September 27, 2010, in a local hospital. Mr. Hampton was a U.S. Army veteran serving in Stuttgart, Germany. He was a member of Dauphin Way Baptist Church and was employed by Pilot Catastrophe Services, Inc. as a manager for many years. Mr. Hampton was a 32nd degree Mason and member of the Oliver Lodge #10, F & AM and was also a member of the Shrine Temple in New Orleans. He was preceded in death by his father, Elbert Thompson Hampton.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Linda Hampton; his son, Tim Hampton and his wife, Beth; his beloved grandson, Christian Cole Hampton, all of Mobile; his mother, Mary E. Hampton; his sister, Sybil Brumley, both of Oak Grove, LA; and a multitude of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home on Thursday, September 30, 2010, at 3:00 p.m. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 29, 2010, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Graveside services and interment will be held on Friday, October 1, 2010, at 4:00 p.m. in the Coax Baptist Church Cemetery in Winnsboro, LA.
