

David attended Vigor High School, where he was a standout student and athlete. He played baseball and football and was also, the lead in the senior class play – a reflection of both his talent and personality. After high school, David went on to attend Auburn University, where he played freshman baseball and later graduated with a degree in Pharmacy. A devoted Auburn man to the end, David proudly yelled “War Eagle” and was rarely seen without Auburn attire.
Following college, David began his career with K&B Drugs, where he worked as a pharmacist and later as a supervisor covering the entire Gulf Coast. He dedicated 34 years to the company before retiring. He greatly enjoyed his retirement years, especially the time spent with his beloved wife, Mary.
David was a devoted son, devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great - grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Webber and Vesta Grandquest.
He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Grandquest; his children, Laura Grandquest (Ceclie Wunschel) and Shea Grandquest (Audrey Grandquest), and the mother of his children, Patti Grandquest; his grandchildren, Payton (Evan) Quinif, Bradley Grandquest, and Falynn Grandquest; and his great - grandchildren, Ensley, Harlyn, and Laramie Quinif.
David will be remembered for his loyalty to family, his love of Auburn, and the steady, caring presence he brought to everyone who knew him.
