Dr. David L. Roberts, Ph.D., 67, native of Chickasaw, passed away on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 in Mobile, Alabama. Dr. Roberts was born to Glen and Frances Roberts on May 7, 1954 in Mobile, Alabama. He was a clinical psychologist for many years, and lived in California from 1989 until 2006, where he moved back to Mobile to start his own practice, Pro Kids Inc., until 2016. Dr. Roberts was an accomplished pianist and organist. He was a published author, and enjoyed watching nature.
Dr. Roberts was preceded in death by his close friend, Adan Lopez; parents, Glennard and Frances Roberts; grandmother, Emily Owens; and one brother, Doug Roberts.
He is survived by his only child, daughter, Melissa Everette (Taylor Chisholm); grandchildren, Kayley Wilson, Zachary Everette, Taylor Everette, Lucas Everette, Brooklynn Everette, Braelynn Everette, and Jackson Chisholm; sister, Emily (Greg) Winn; one niece, Megan Winn; nephews, Michael Winn, Jacob, and Justin; as well as a host of other cherished family and friends.
Visitation for Dr. Roberts will be held on Monday, August 23, 2021 from 12 p.m. until 1 p.m. at Pine Crest Funeral Home on Dauphin Island Parkway in Mobile, Alabama, with a chapel service immediately following. Interment will be in Pine Crest Cemetery.
