Debbie was born to Delma and Zell Reid on April 16, 1937, in Charity Chapel, Alabama. She had an extensive work history, but the most important work Debbie did was the work she did for the Lord. She was a devout Christian – and spent much of her time studying the Word of God. Debbie was a member of Parkway Assembly of God.
Debbie loved to travel and enjoyed playing cards recreationally. In her younger years, she spent a lot of time in bowling leagues and when her husband was alive, they enjoyed square dancing. Debbie loved to gather with family and friends to have a good meal. In fact, she was at her happiest when she was surrounded by family and friends. Debbie was the most incredible mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She cherished her family with all her heart. Debbie was a beautiful soul who will be greatly missed.
Debbie was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband of 67 years, Bobby Ray Wilkins; her parents; and one daughter, Kay Byrd.
She is survived by her sons, Ray Wilkins (Linda) and Will Wilkins (Beverly); daughter, Denice Hayes; grandchildren, Tony (Taylor), Alicia (Sean), Ashley (Ben), Jenny (Michael), Amy (Weston), Cody (Loren), Robyn, Natalie (Lisa), Cristy (Jay), Mary (Henry), and Richie (Katelyn); great-grandchildren, Amelia, Lillian, Taylor, Kaidence, Benjamin, Gwenna, Georgia, Everett, Landry, Nathaniel, Marcus, Isaihah, Clarissa (Matt), Maddy, Grayson, Aydin, Kaleb, Gabe, Karmyn, and Rhett; as well as other cherished family and friends.
