Diedra Jones Busby

Diedra Jean Jones Busby, age 49, went to be with her heavenly father on July 13, 2017 in Bay Minette, Ala., surrounded by family and friends after her hard-fought battle with cancer at her parents’ home. She is survived by her parents, Wayne Young Jones and Deborah Jeanne Jones, Sisters Tracey Roxanne (Jay) Dahl, Ashley Rebecca (Brian) English, Niece Hillary Ann Smallwood, Nephew, Wayne Patrick English, her fiancé Rusty Cushion, Aunt Jennie Busby Davis, Aunt Julie (Tony) Welborn, Uncle Thomas Dewey (Sharon) Davis and numerous other loving family and friends.

Diedra was born on June 20, 1968 in Pasadena, Texas. She graduated from Woodham High School, Pensacola Florida in 1987 and received her Associate Degree in Horticulture from Faulkner State University in 2015, with honors. Diedra was a true “Alabama” girl and chose to reside there for most of her life. Her love of God and nature was evidenced by her talented photography, her love of plants and her gift of giving joy to others.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm Saturday at Pine Crest Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 pm at the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jay D.
