Dolores Theresa Brettel Young, age 90, of Mobile entered into rest Monday, August 24, 2015 at a local hospital. Funeral services will be Thursday, August 27, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Dominic’s Catholic Church, Murphy Center. Interment will follow at Pine Crest Cemetery. Father Jim Cink will officiate. The family will receive friends Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the church.
Mrs. Young was preceded in death by her husband, Francis A. “Tank” Young, her parents, Emile Peter and Mary Louise Farell Brettel, two brothers, and five sisters.
She is survived by one son, Michael A. Young, one brother, Thomas Toolen Brettel, two sisters, Mary Rachael (Henry) Burgess and Mable Brettel, three grandchildren, Clifton Michael Young, Stephen Mathew Young, and Tracy Michelle Young, and four great-grandchildren, Avery Craig Young, Sydney Isabella Young, Elijah Alan Meadows, and Cooper Graham Meadows all of Mobile.
