Don Dale Pinson, 85, passed away on Sunday, February 6, 2022 at his home in Wilmer, Alabama. He was born to Homer Dale Pinson and Ruby Thelma Williams Pinson Kelley on July 16, 1936 in Florida. Don was a graduate of Murphy High School, Class of 1955, before moving on to an extensive career with the military. He served with the United States Air Force for six years, as well as the U.S. Army and the U.S. Navy. To say Don was a patriot and loved to serve his country is an understatement. He retired as an equipment sales manager. Don was a member of Howard F & AM Lodge.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Don is survived by his three daughters, Jamie Lovitte, Tina (David) Lee, and Anita (Richard) Bookout; nineteen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; as well as other cherished family and friends.
Visitation will for Don will be held on Thursday, February 17, 2022 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Pine Crest Funeral Home on Dauphin Island Parkway in Mobile. A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 18, 2022 at 11 a.m. in the Pine Crest Funeral Home chapel, with interment immediately following in the Alabama State Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spanish Fort at 12:30 p.m.
