Donna Cazalas Bell, 62, was born March 18, 1959 to Dovie (Brabham) Willcutt and Murl Cazalas. She peacefully passed to her heavenly home on June 5, 2021. Donna is survived by her loving husband Glenn Bell; mother, Dovie Willcutt; two sons, Russell (Heather) and Matthew (Leah); five grandchildren, Andrew, Catherine, Madelyn, Luke and Brannan; sisters, Dot (Mike) Brown, Phyllis (Dwain) Mayo and Janis (Al) Estrada; brother, Terry Cazalas; nieces, Brandy (Patrick) Pendleton, Ashley Mayo; nephews, Anthony (Peyton) Brown, Adam (Lindsey) Mayo, Alvio (Amy) Estrada, Alton (Shannon) Estrada as well as numerous other family members and close friends. She is preceded in death by her father Murl Cazalas and stepdad Floyd Willcutt.

Donna worked from 1977-2002 at Spring Hill College in the Telecommunications Department. It was there she met the love of her life, Glenn, to whom she was happily married for 39 years. Donna and Glenn raised their two sons, who were the center of her world. Together the four built memories through traveling the country on family vacations and creating priceless family traditions. She also worked from 2002 to 2012 at the University of South Alabama Police Department where she retired in 2012. In retirement, she enjoyed spending time with her sisters, taking trips to the beach with her high school classmates and being the most supportive Nonna by cheering on her grandchildren at their many ballgames and endeavors. She attended Creekwood Church of Christ and especially enjoyed the wonderful ladies in her Sunday morning bible class.

She loved God and her family with a fierce passion and she reminded them often that the three most important things in life were “God, family and education”. She was a loving wife, daughter, mother, sister, Nonna to her grandchildren and friend. In word and deed she was thoughtful, funny, kind, abounding in grace, as well as compassionate and strong at heart thus dearly loved by so many. She will be greatly missed but leaves behind a beautiful legacy. We are comforted by the fact that she is now at her eternal home with her Heavenly Father.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the University of Alabama at Birmingham Hospital neurology department. Donations can be made at giving.uab.edu.

Visitation will be held at Radney Funeral Home-Mobile on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The family will receive friends and family from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 10, 2021 at Creekwood Church of Christ, 1901 Schillinger Road, with the funeral services beginning at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Valhalla Memorial Gardens, Eight Mile, AL. I have known Donna all of my life, she was the cutest little girl running around with her hair up in a ponytail. Don’t never remember her getting into trouble, she had the biggest smile. Even as a child she had beauty and grace. She will be missed, my prayers are with her family. She is free from the sickness and pain of this world and walking on streets of gold. Love you All.

My memories of Donna Cazalas-Bell includes the twinkle in her eyes when she smiled. I have not seen Donna in many years now and just hearing of her passing saddens me. I will keep Glenn, her Mother, her children, her sisters Phyllis & Dot, and her brother Terry in my Prayers. I will ask our Heavenly Father to please watch over this family.
Rest in Peace Kingdom Daughter.

My heart hurts as we say good bye to our long life friend. I have known Donna most all my life. Our High School group of friends will cherish our fond memories. We have had many fun filled adventures that we will never forget. Donna was beautiful inside and out, so kind and thoughtful. She would always ask me when our next outing was. She always looked forward to them.! We will never forget her, that beautiful smile, that warm personality

Donna was a cashier in the Business Office when I was hired at Spring Hill College in 1978. She was a beautiful, kind soul...I loved that she would get a twinkle in her eye when telling a funny story. She was a joy to know and work with. I am happy that she had some time to travel with her family but so sad to hear of her passing. My condolences to Glenn, her sisters, her Mom, her sons, her friends and those precious grandchildren. Sending hugs and prayers to you all! RIP, my friend!

Much love,

Sending prayers of comfort to the entire family. Keeping you in my prayers. Donna was such a beautiful person. I can just imagine the reunion she's having with Tootsie Bell. I bet they've already made brownies, cinnamon rolls and a pound cake. Then shared it with heaven.

Donna was a beautiful person. And so much more. Gentle and sweet. Interesting and interested in others. Smart and capable. Her smile made everyone feel better. How fortunate all of us were who knew her and worked with her. And what a legacy she left her grandchildren. May we all aspire to treat one another with kindness and caring as she did.
