Donna Margaret Walker Waites

Donna Margaret Walker Waites, 75, from Birmingham, Alabama, passed away on May 2, 2017 in Mobile, Alabama. Memorial service will be held 3:00 p.m. Saturday, May 6, 2017 at St. John’s Episcopal Church, Mobile, with Father Thomas Heard officiating. Arrangements are by Radney Funeral Home, Mobile. Donna was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, to Eileen and Edward Walker, on January 26, 1942. She went to Shades Valley High School in Birmingham, Alabama and attended Auburn University. Donna married Ronald Waites on September 17, 1965 in Birmingham. She worked as a bookkeeper for the National Electrical Contractors Association in Mobile for 15 years. Donna was a member at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Mobile and belonged to the altar guild and the women of the church. She was a volunteer at Murray House and a member of the Daughters of the King, Donna was preceded in death by Eileen and Edward Walker and her daughter Jennifer Cathleen Waites. Donna is survived by her husband, Ronald Waites, her children Patrick and Laurelin Waites, and Susan and David Hansen, her sister Carol Ramsay (Lorenzo), and her grandchildren Marshall, Isabel, Genevieve, and Christopher.
