Doris Elizabeth Mixson Hodge – a native of Savannah, GA and a resident of Mobile, AL, died Thursday, September 16, 2010 at her residence. Mrs. Hodge was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Evan Hodge. She is survived by two daughters, Mary Anna Hatch of Mobile, AL and Lee (Ricky) Lovorn of Martinsville, VA; one brother, Leonard (Martha) Mixson; four grandchildren, Scott (April) Lovorn of John’s Island, SC, Heather (Rusty) Hodge of Mobile, AL, Andy (Rebekah) Lovorn of Alexandria, VA, and Clifford Hatch of Houston, TX; one great-granddaughter, Riley Lovorn, one great-grandson, Grayson Hodge; her special caregivers, Shirley West and Yvonne Dixon; nieces, nephews and other relatives. Graveside services and interment will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, September 25, 2010 in Elmwood Cemetery, Georgetown, SC. Pallbearers will be Scott Lovorn, Andy Lovorn, Clifford Hatch, Rusty Hodge, Mark Mixson, and Nick Sanders. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Spring Hill Baptist Church for the “This is Christmas Music Fund”, 2 South McGregor Avenue, Mobile, AL 36608 or Pawleys Island Chapel, P.O.
