Dorothy Partridge Alexander, age 92, born February 13, 1925, a native of and lifelong resident of Mobile, Alabama, died January 31, 2018. Dorothy graduated from the Visitation Academy in Mobile in May 1942. She had been a long time member of Little Flower Catholic Church then St. Joseph Catholic Church. For many years, she was an active member of the Ladies Golf Association at Skyline Country Club (now Herron Lakes).
Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband of almost 61 years, James Alexander, Jr., grandson, James R. Alexander, IV (Rusty), sister, Margaret Partridge Rogers and brothers, Harris, Claude, Can and William. She is survived by two sons, James R. Alexander, III and Steven C. Alexander and two grandchildren, Caitlyn and Kyler, nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 808 Springhill Ave, Mobile, AL. at 11:00a.m. on Tuesday, February 6, 2018.The family will receive friends one-half hour prior to Mass. Interment will follow in Pine Crest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations make be offered to the charity of your choice.
