Douglas Eugene Campbell, 67, a resident of Jackson, Alabama, passed away Monday, October 29, 2018. Doug was born in Detroit, Michigan at Saint Joseph Mercy Hospital to Robert Douglas and Alpha Whitaker Campbell on March 13, 1951. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Doug was employed by PowerSouth Energy Cooperative in Leroy, Alabama as an operator for 44 years. He took pleasure in collecting eclectic items, renovating houses, and working outdoors. But overall, his favorite pastime was spending time with his family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Alpha Campbell. Doug is survived by Ganelle Bedwell Campbell, and children, Robert Matthew Campbell and Kaleigh Paulette Campbell. A Celebration of Doug's Life will be held Saturday, November 10, 2018 at 12:00 noon form the Campbell residence, 164 Hi Lo Street Jackson, Alabama 36545.
