Earline Delores Ramm Bertolino, an 88-year-old native and lifelong resident of Mobile, Alabama died at her family residence on Friday, June 9, 2023, surrounded by her family. She was born on April 29, 1935 to the parents of Christine and George Ramm. Earline graduated from Bishop Toolen High School in 1952. She worked at Brookley Field, State Farm Insurance for over 20 years alongside her husband, and retired from Mobile County Health Department in 1998. She was a founding member of Saint Pius X Parish and enjoyed participating in the Ladies of Sodality as well as other ministries of the church. She was a member of a mystic organization for many years. Earline led an active lifestyle and some of her hobbies included gardening, sewing, line dancing, running in local races, and spending time at her bay house with her children, grandchildren and family.
Earline was preceded in death by her husband, Giacomo “Jack” Bertolino. She is survived by her children Mary Monica Bertolino (John Norton), Vincent Christopher Bertolino, Carmel Marie Alvis (Teddy), Anthony Laurence Bertolino (Tani), Regina Dolores Baker (Ben), and Elizabeth Ann Calhoun (Michael); grandchildren Theodore Kyle Alvis, Jr., Hunter Benton Alvis, Brittney Dolores Cloyd (Will), Dylan Michael Alvis (Macy), Emily Bertolino Cooper (Carson), Christian Dominic Baker, Lauren Elizabeth Calhoun, Blakeley Alvis Rash (Blake), Austin James Bertolino, Mallory Faith Bertolino, Timothy Blaise Baker, Brenna Alexandria Bertolino, Lindsey Michelle Calhoun, Katelyn Marie Calhoun, Jackson David Bertolino, and Mary Helene Baker; great grandchildren Baylor Anthony Rash, Henry Michael Alvis, Addison Grace Cooper, Breelyn Marie Rash, Hudson Layne Alvis, and Dorothy Lane Dolores Cloyd; and other relatives.
Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated by Rev. Johnny Savoie on Saturday, June 17th at St. Pius X Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. A burial service will follow at the Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 16th from 5-7 p.m. at Radney Funeral Home on Dauphin Street with the Rosary to be recited at 5:30 p.m. The family would like to offer their appreciation and gratitude to Ms. Barbara Tartt, who was a blessing to them and Earline, as she provided care for over 3 years in her home. Pallbearers are Hunter Alvis, Dylan Alvis, Christian Baker, Blaise Baker, Jerry Folse, and Marcus Folse. Memorial donations may be made at Alzheimer’s Association Alabama Chapter.
