Edith Inez Howard

Edith Inez Howard, 97, of Mobile, Alabama, passed away on December 31, 2016. Ms. Howard was born on November 29, 1919 to William Leavy Brock and Nannie D. Robertson Brock in Chipley, Florida. She was preceded in death by her husband, Artis Gordon Howard, her sister, Mrs. Elna Brock Young and her brother William Eugene “Bill” Brock, both of Pensacola, Florida.

She was a lifelong resident of the South Brookley community and was the owner and operator of Arnez’s beauty Shop. She was a faithful member of Riverside Baptist Church for over 69 years and faithfully read her Bible each day. She was an excellent cook and visitors never left her home hungry.

Ms. Howard is survived by her loving family which include three sons; Billy (Linda) Howard, Charles (Bunny) Howard, Bennie (Janie) Howard. One sister Helon Fay Jones; 12 grandchildren 25 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to invite you to celebrate her life, beginning with visitation with the family on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 from 9:00a.m. until time of funeral services at 11:00 a.m. at Pine Crest Funeral Home, 1939 Dauphin Island Parkway, Mobile, AL. 36605. Interment will follow in Pine Crest Cemetery.
