Edna Davis Owens – beloved mother and grandmother, a 75 year-old native of Alabama City, AL, and a longtime resident of Mobile passed away Friday, November 15, 2013. Mrs. Owens retired from a career in retail after more than 20 years of service. She was preceded in death by her mother, Janie Davis, and husband, Allmon Owens. Mrs. Owens is survived by her children, John Ice, Kenny Ice (Sara), Cindy Walden (Benny), and Basil Vaughan; 7 grandchildren including Heather Ice, Steven Hayes (Jaime), Kristine Benadum (Tom), Jessica Walden, J.B. Walden, and Monica Walden; brother, Jack Davis (Ann); sister-in-law, Betty Davis; 7 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Monday, November 18, 2013, at 2 p.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12 noon until the service hour.
