Mrs. Juanita Edna Schultz was called to join her Lord in Heaven on May 14, 2022. She was blessed to have enjoyed a long, fulfilling life spent with her sweetheart of 64 years as well as her loving children, grandchildren, and her four great grandchildren.
Juanita was born in Jacksonville, TX on August 26, 1929 to Kendrick and Pluma Searcy. She is survived by her son Ronald and wife Lucinda of Mobile; his daughters Stacy Schultz of Foley, AL, and Kelly Schultz of Mobile. Daughter Patricia Midtbo and husband Rick of Colorado Springs, Co. Her son Brian Midtbo of Denver, Co. and daughter Jaime Kuhn and husband Gunther Kuhn of Denver, Co. Great grandsons Mason Baudier, Dylan Bemis, and Landon Midtbo and great granddaughter Jolie Midtbo. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Haygood and her three brothers Paul, Ted and Bobby Searcy.
Juanita grew up near Pigeon Creek, AL. Juanita married Haygood Schultz when he returned from WWII. They remained sweethearts until his death in 2010. As an Air Force family, they lived near a number of USAF bases in the United States, plus assignments to Guam and France. They retired and lived in Biloxi, Ms for thirty years before moving to Mobile in 1995.
“Mamaw" to her grandchildren and their children, Juanita loved to take them camping and fishing. An avid gardener, she took great pride in her yard and flowers. Her fabulous Southern Cooking was always a treat for the family. Her other skills included sewing, playing Bridge and Dominoes.
A devoted Christian, Juanita was a member of Christ United Methodist Church. She will be dearly missed and never forgotten by all those who knew and loved her.
Visitation will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday May 21, 2022 with the Service following at 11:00Am at the Radney Funeral Home at 3155 Dauphin Street, Mobile. Interment will follow at Mobile Memorial Gardens.
The pallbearers will include her Son-In-Law Rick Midtbo, Granddaughters Stacy and Kelly Schultz, and her Grandson Brian Midtbo.
