
Edythe Cooper H. Farrar, 94, a native and longtime resident of Rolling Fork, MS, died February 6, 2013 at a health care facility in Mobile, Alabama. Born 2/13/1918, she retired in 1981, moving to Mobile to be near her family. Her careers in Rolling Fork included being the owner/operator of Farrar’s Grocery followed by a nursing career at the local hospital and as a health specialist for the Headstart Program. She was preceded in death by her husband, George C. Farrar; parents, Clarence L. and Marie Allie Hazlewood; and her brother, Lewis B. Hazlewood. She is survived by her daughter, Kaye Farrar Brown; son-in-law Dewey B. Brown; granddaughter, Farrar B. Walsh; her husband, Daniel Walsh; and twin great-grandsons, Bryson and Ethan Walsh. Graveside burial services will be held Saturday, February 9, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Mound Cemetery in Rolling Fork, conducted by Rev. Ron Gomillion, pastor of Anguilla Methodist Church, and Paul F. Brown, lay leader at Grace Methodist Church. Arrangements are by Mobile Memorial Gardens, 6040 Three Notch Rd., Mobile, AL 36619.
