Elizabeth Kelly Noletto Doyle, age 95, a native and longtime resident of Mobile, AL passed away at her home, Wednesday, August 1, 2018. She was a loving mother and devoted Christian. Her family and friends take comfort in knowing she is at peace with our Lord and Savior after a long battle with CHF. Betty graduated from Convent of Mercy in 1940 and then attended Alabama State Institute (Auburn University) for a short time before working for the Corp of Engineers for 32 years of service until retirement. She loved tennis, gardening, and reading. She was formerly a member of the Woman’s Club and the Altar Society when she attended Little Flower Catholic Church. After her first husband Claude retired and his death, Betty remarried Jack Doyle and moved out to West Mobile where they became members of Corpus Christi Catholic Church . She was dedicated to her faith and family.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents William E. and Irene Kelly, her husband Claude J. Noletto, Sr.,father of her children, her 2nd husband Jack Doyle, and her sister Rosemary Kelly Brown. Betty is survived by her 3 children: C.J. Noletto, Jr.(Karen Graham), Sherry A. Ching (Frank Ching), and Kim N. von Oepen (David von Oepen); her stepchildren: John Doyle, Brian Doyle, Bob Doyle, Joe Doyle, and Marion Doyle Ortman her grandchildren, Bobby Ching, Andy Ching, Nicole Johnson, Kellie Burroughs, Jonathan Burroughs, Heather Lewis, Joseph Noletto, Trey Evans, Jessica Evans, Hayley von Oepen, Brittany von Oepen, and great grandchildren, her sister Joann Henriksen, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be at Corpus Christi Catholic Church Wednesday, August 8th at 9:00 AM for Family ~~10:00 AM for public with the Mass for Christian Burial following at 11:00 and Graveside ceremony at The Catholic Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers please make donations to St. Jude, Catholic Charities or AIDB.
