Ella Joyce McMillan Gaston

Ella Joyce McMillan Gaston – an 86 year-old native of Selma, Alabama and longtime resident of Mobile passed away on October, 29, 2020. She was a loving mother and grandmother who was well known for her awesome fried chicken and biscuits.

Mrs. Gaston was preceded in death by her husband, Donald C. Gaston. She is survived by her children, Joyce Ann Gedling (Jackie), Donald Gaston (Dawn), Lynn Gaston Renkl (Terry), and Cindy Gaston Belletty (Kenny); sister, Jane Newberry; grandchildren, Will, Whitney (Quinn), Mya, Katherine (Patrick), Thomas (Kylee), Keisha, Kindra, Alan, Amanda (James), Stephanie (Kyle), and Courtney; 14 great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Crowne Health Care for loving and caring for our mother and family.

Graveside services will be held in Union Baptist Church Cemetery on Saturday, October 31, 2020, at 2 p.m. The family will receive friends at the church from 12 noon until the service hour.
