Emily Kirk Kirk Jordan

Emily Kirk Jordan – an 86 year-old resident of Mobile, passed away Thursday, December 27, 2012. She was born January 12, 1926 in Hattiesburg, MS to the late Clement Rianza Kirk and Zelda Evelyn Sanders Kirk. She has three brothers: Carl B. Kirk (Nell), both deceased, Sidney R. Kirk (Lois, deceased), and Clement R. Kirk, Jr. (Bobbie, deceased) (Jean, living); and one sister, Evelyn Z. Kirk Hollingsworth (Tom, deceased). Emily was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Kendall T. Jordan.

She is survived by her four children: Kendall T. Jordan, Jr. (Tracie), Katherine J. Youngquist (James), Brian K. Jordan (Lisa), and William T. Jordan, II; and six grandchildren: Kelsey H. Jordan, Camille P. Jordan, Maryanne W. Jordan, Rachel B. Jordan, Elizabeth Y. Milligan (Ryan), and Jordan K. Youngquist.

Emily graduated from Murphy High School in 1944 and Mississippi Southern College in 1948. She taught elementary school in Chickasaw, AL until 1952 and lived in Mobile from 1949 until her death.

Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Monday, December 31, 2012, at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
