My husband Sam was a first cousin to Eunice.   A delightful guide and hostess, Eunice invited us to come to Mobile to visit her and her son Jon.  That hot July week about 20 years ago was one of the best vacations and probably the best visit we had with family during our 44 years of marriage!  From time to time afterwards, we would talk with Eunie by telephone.   Her sharp memory and deep love of people always made lively conversation.   I don't think I have ever met anyone whose social graces and sense of social responsibility were greater than Eunie's!  That one week with her influenced me more than she ever guessed to be more sensitive to others around me.    I extend my love and sympathy  to Alan and Jon, their wives, and the grandchildren.  She adored all of you!
