Evelyn Sue Miller Glass

Evelyn Sue Miller Glass, a long-time resident of Montgomery, Alabama, passed away on December 24, 2017, in Mobile, where she had lived since 1976. Evelyn is survived by three daughters, Linda (Vic) Harris, Anita Glass, Ginny (Ric) Smith; and a son, William Andrew (Rhonda) Glass; two grandsons, David Harris and Jonathan Harris; a sister, Hazel (Gene) Turner; a brother-in-law, Bill Marshall, four nieces and a nephew. Evelyn is preceded in death by her husband, William Arthur Glass and infant daughter, Vicki Lynn Glass; her parents, RE and Rosa Miller; a sister, Eunice Marshall; and a brother, Clayton Miller. Evelyn enjoyed serving her Lord as a teacher of children and teens at Cottage Hill Baptist Church in Mobile, and at Ridgecrest Baptist and Dalraida Baptist churches in Montgomery, Alabama. She was a librarian at Cottage Hill Baptist Church Library and co-owner of New Life Books and Gifts in Daphne, Alabama. Her love of family, friends, and books was surpassed only by her love of her Lord Jesus Christ. A celebration of Evelyn’s life will held at Cottage Hill Baptist Church Chapel in Mobile, Alabama, on Thursday, December 28, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. The family will receive visitors there preceding the service between 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. Internment will be at Greenwood Funeral home and Cemetery in Montgomery, Alabama, on December 27, 2017, where the family will welcome visitors between 1:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. that day. In lieu of flowers. the family requests that any donations be made to The Alabama Children’s Home.
