Frances Kennedy Gillespie – age 77, a native Mobilian, passed away at a local hospital on Saturday, September 24, 2011. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Mrs. Gillespie was loved by all who knew her and will be remembered for her wonderful sense of humor. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Charles Gillespie; children, David Gillespie (Analynn), Jeffrey Gillespie, and Gary Gillespie (Judith); sisters, Anne Ide (Arvin) and Margie Gardener (Joel); grandchildren, Bridget Gillespie, Sara Gillespie, and Veronica Gillespie; other relatives and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church on Tuesday, September 27, 2011, at 1:30 p.m. The family will receive friends at Radney Funeral Home on Dauphin Street on Monday, September 26, from 5-8 p.m. Interment will be in Pine Crest Cemetery West.
