George Eric Johansen, 85, passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on Thursday, September 28, 2017. Mr. Johansen was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lamey Johansen and his daughter, Becky Curtis. He is survived by his sons, John (Pam) Johansen and George (Rhonda) Johansen; daughter, Paige (Mike) Tucker; grandchildren, Eric Johansen, Erica Reynolds, Madeline Yaeger Ray, Valerie Miller, and Cliff Tucker; four great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other cherished family members. Visitation for Mr. Johansen will be held from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. on Sunday, October 1, 2017 at Pine Crest Funeral Home on Dauphin Island Parkway in Mobile, with a Memorial Service immediately following. In lieu of flowers, the Johansen family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
