Gerald Eldon Seay

Mr. Gerald Eldon Seay, age 79, longtime resident of Mobile, AL, passed away at his home surrounded, by his family on Friday, October 9, 2015. He is preceded in death by his parents, Sallie and Duncan Sawyer. Mr. Seay retired after over 25 years of service with Mobile Gas Service Corporation. He was a man of faith, loving his Lord Jesus Christ and serving him faithfully through Manor Baptist Church. He served on the committee to select the church pastor and the Children’s Bus Ministry. He was an avid golfer and loved Tide football. His family will remember his love for Jesus and his love of family. Mr. Seay is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Penelope J. Whitmore Seay and children, Nan Seay, Donna Seay, Kim Dixon, Julie (Mike) Kelley and Scott Seay. He is also survived by his siblings, James (Doris) Seay, Wendell Seay, Marolyn (Zearl) Lancaster, Carolyn Hudson, thirteen grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and other family and friends. Visitation will be held at Radney Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the Oakleigh Chapel of the funeral home beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 14, 2015. Interment will follow at 12 Noon in Galilee Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, Stapleton, AL.
