Gladys Johns Sanders

Gladys Johns Sanders, age 86 a native of Evergreen, AL and a longtime resident of Mobile, AL died on Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at a local nursing facility. She was a faithful member of Dauphin Way Baptist Church where she served as a greeter for 25 years. She was a devoted homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Roland E. Sanders; her parents James Warren Johns and Carlie Johns; brothers, Edward Johns, Daniel Johns and Roy Johns. She is survived by her children, Sue Sanders, Eddie (Cathy) Sanders; her four grandchildren, Brittany (Don) Davidson, Brady (Matt) Hall, Seth (Ally) Sanders and Hannah Sanders. Her sister, Katie (Robert) Cotton; brother in law, Nolan (Illawene) Sanders. Her four great grandchildren, Sanders Hall, Sawyer Hall, Shephard Hall and Gabriel Sanders and other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 8, 2014 at 2:00 PM from Dauphin Way Baptist Church. Family will receive friends at the church on Friday, August 8, 2014 at 1:00 PM until service time. Interment will be in Valhalla Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.
