Grover Cleveland Powell – a 90 year-old lifelong resident of Mobile, passed away Monday, September 16, 2012. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 63 years, Theresa Powell. He is survived by his children, Beverlee Powell of Mobile, Ramona Thomas (Rusty) of Charleston, SC, Sharon Floersheim of Palmdale, CA, David Powell and Andrew Powell both of Mobile; grandchildren, Whitney Thomas, Rebecca Thomas, Brandy Meeden (Myles), and Stacey Floersheim; great-granddaughter, Olivia Meeden; brothers, William, Cornelius, Thomas, and Raymond Powell; and sister, Ibernita Brill. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Corpus Christi Catholic Church on Thursday, September 20, 2012, at 11 a.m. The family will receive friends at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 19, from 5-8 p.m. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
