

Harold (Joe) Faircloth departed this life peacefully on Saturday January 27th, 2024, at the age of 91. A lifelong resident of the greater Mobile area, he has lived in Mobile, Prichard, Chickasaw, Saraland, Satsuma, and Daphne throughout the years. In his early years, he served in the United States Air Force. However, most of his employment years were spent at International Paper Company in Mobile, Alabama. He was a very dedicated employee and spent many hours there during his 44 years of service. When not at work, his most notable hobby and pastime was to find wrecked or broken-down cars, and then make all the repairs himself. Paint & body, engine, chassis….he did it all! Rarely was he found sitting down and doing nothing.
He is preceded in death by his wife and mother of his children, Barbara Jean Faircloth. Father, James Wesley Faircloth. Mother, Effie Deloach Faircloth. Brothers, John Wesley Faircloth, James Lester Faircloth, Dewey Rudon Faircloth, Roy Edger “Sonny” Faircloth, and Abe Marcus “Buddy” Faircloth. Sister Onnie Ruth Sikes.
He is survived by his two sons, Michael Joseph Faircloth (Sandra), and Harold Jeffery Faircloth. Sister, Marrianne F. Johnson (Barry). As a proud and loving Grandfather, he is survived by four grandsons and one granddaughter, Glen S. Craig II (Michelle), Lisa Friedrich( Kelly), Michael Joseph Faircloth II (Christina), Hunter Chance Faircloth, and Harrison Cole Faircloth (Cordelia), and eight great grandchildren.
After 52 years, he will be laid to rest beside his wife Barbara, in Pine Crest Cemetery on February 7th, 2024.
A visitation for Harold will be held Wednesday, February 7, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Pine Crest Funeral Home, 1939 Dauphin Island Parkway, Mobile, Alabama 36605. Following the visitation will be a chapel service from 1:00 p.m. at Pine Crest Funeral Home. Interment will be in Pine Crest Cemetery.
