Helen Mathis Tucker – a native of Tuscaloosa, AL and longtime resident of Mobile, AL died Friday, January 17, 2014, at the age of 86. She was a member of West Mobile Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Arlen Gene Mathis and Guy Tucker; her son, Barry Mathis; and sister, Betty Jean Henry. Survivors include her daughter, Sheila Andrews; daughter-in-law, Debbie Hempstead Mathis; sister, Bonnie McKay of Tuscaloosa, AL; four grandchildren, Tori, Jennifer, Jessica and Jeremy; great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Graveside services and interment will beTuesday, January 21, 2014, at 10 a.m. in Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family would like to give special thanks to Knollwood Pointe and Staff and to her caregiver, Shirley Howard, for nine years of devoted love and care.
