

Born on January 23, 1927, to Cicero and Sarah Roberts, Henry was a lifelong resident of Mobile. He attended W.H. Leinkauf Elementary, Barton Academy, Murphy High School, Springhill College, and Auburn University. Henry proudly served in the US Navy during World War II, stationed in the Pacific. After returning to Alabama and completing his education, he began a career at Chevron USA, retiring after 34 years of dedicated service.
Known for his sharp intellect and kind nature, Henry had many passions, including chemistry and woodworking. However, his greatest joy came from spending time with his beloved wife, Barbara, and their son, David.
Henry was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Barbara Morgan Roberts; his brother, Franklin Roberts; and his sisters, Mary Julia Roberts, Eva Arrington Macon, and Caroline Roberts Dean. He is survived by his son, David Roberts of Mobile, along with many nieces and nephews.
A ceremony for inurnment of ashes will be held at Old Spring Hill Cemetery, 351 Dilston St., Mobile, AL 36608 on Saturday January 25, 2025 beginning at 1:00 P.M. A reception will be held at the family home following the service.
