

James Floyd Boykin, 77, born June 2, 1940 passed away on December 8, 2017 at Providence Hospital surrounded by loved ones. James was a native of Choctaw County and has resided in Mobile, AL for the last 50 years. He was the owner of Boykin Electric for 45 years before retiring. He was an avid hunter and loved Alabama football.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gray and Lorene Boykin of Choctaw County.
James is lovingly remembered by his wife of 58 years, Billie Rae Manley Boykin; 3 children, James R. Boykin, Jason (Gina) Boykin, and Jada (Al) Sharpe; 6 grandchildren, Brian (Gretchen) Boykin, Sean Boykin, Bailey (Roy) Smullen, Jana (Chase) Spivey, Shelby Boykin and Hunter Sharpe;4 great grandchildren, Cailyn Boykin, Brody and Madelyn Smullen and Jase Spivey; a brother, R.J. (Glenda) Boykin of Louisiana and 2 sisters, Sylvia Allen of Pennington, AL. and Linda (Leon) Todd of Spanish Fort, AL.
Serving as Pallbearers will be Brian Boykin, Sean Boykin, Hunter Sharpe, Chase Spivey, Roy Smullen and Tony Fadalla.
