James Kerr Dempster

James Kerr Dempster, A native and lifelong resident of Mobile County, residing in Belle Fontaine, died on Monday, September 9, 2013. He was the former owner and operator of Airport Auto Supply and was a member of S.B.Adams Lodge # 884, F&AM. Mr. Dempster was preceded in death by his parents, Gilbert I Dempster and Catherine Caroline Clark Dempster and brother Gilbert Dempster. He is survived by his wife, Colleen Patricia “Pat” Dempster; two sons, Van Ray Dempster and Richard Malone (Teresa) Dempster; step-children, Michael Bruce (Sharon) Dunnavant, Glenn Joseph Dunnavant, Colleen Roberta (Kenneth) Newman, Jeanne Elizabeth (John) Irving, Brenda Joan (James) Allbritten; brother, Raymond Joseph (Tillie) Dempster and sister, Rena “Rita” Neira; grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives. Visitation will be at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Wednesday from 5 until 8 PM. Graveside services will be held Thursday, September 12, 2013 at 10 AM at Pine Crest Cemetery on DIP.
