James Adrian McCardle

James Adrian McCardle, 6/1/1932 – 3/8/2011 died in a local hospital after a brief illness. A native of Hattiesburg, MS and a resident of Mobile for 59 years. He was a US Army Veteran and a retired member of Ironworkers Local 798. He was preceded in death by his parents Adrian and Ertis Hegwood McCardle; brother, Nollie Frank McCardle. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Elizabeth Peters McCardle; daughter, Jeanna Link (Mike) of Daphne; son, James A. McCardle, Jr. of Irvington; his two favorite grandsons, Brad Edwards (Maria) of Longview, TX and Harley Austin McCardle of Mobile; his four favorite granddaughters, PFC Brandie McCardle Horn, US Marine Corps, San Diego, CA, Jennifer McCardle of San Diego, CA, PFC Jamie McCardle, Army National Guard, Mobile, Kandyce McCardle of Mobile; great grandchildren, Mia Edwards and Sonny Edwards; sister, Lou Alice Scardino, Long Beach MS; brother, John D. McCardle (Gladys) Long Beach, MS; nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends. Graveside services and interment will be held on Friday, March 11, 2011 at 12 Noon in Mobile Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held on Friday 10:00 AM until 12 Noon at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers plant something – a tree or turnip greens, tell someone “I Love You”, work hard at something you love, go fishing.
