Jamie Marissa Welter

Ms. Jamie Marissa Welter, a 42 year old native and lifelong resident of Mobile passed away Tuesday, August 5, 2014. She was a 1990 graduate of U.S.M.-Wright. She also attended Tulane University and Spring Hill College. Ms. Welter was a former homecoming queen at U.M.S.-Wright and was a member of the Mobile Mardi Gras Court. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, William Joseph Hyde, Jr. and Maxine Drury Hyde, as well as, her paternal grandparents, William C. Welter and Edna E. Welter of Huron, South Dakota. Ms. Welter is survived by her parents, Dr. James C. Welter and Patricia Hyde Welter; uncles Richard C. Welter and William "Bo" Hyde (Karen); nephew Dru Hyde and many other relatives and friends. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated from St. Mary's Catholic Church on Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will precede the service at 10:00 a.m. in the church.
