Jane Strong Moncrief passed away at 94 years of age on Saturday, December 16, 2017 in New Orleans, LA. Mrs. Moncrief was a resident of Mobile for more than 40 years before moving to New Orleans in 2015 to live with her daughter. Mrs. Moncrief was preceded in death by parents, Augusta and W.W. Strong; sisters, Clare Strong and Nan Cress; brothers William and Burke Strong and her husband, Henry L. Moncrief Jr.. Mrs. Moncrief is survived by her sister Elizabeth S. Collins of New Orleans, son Henry Lee(Jean R.) Moncrief III of Mobile, her daughter Clare (Danny Bowen)Moncrief of New Orleans, and her daughter Linda (Jack)Long of Fitzpatrick AL. She is also survived by grandchildren Ross Moncrief, Jane Estrada, Brendan Bowen and Patrick Bowen and her great-grandson Alex Estrada. Services will be held in Mobile on Saturday December 23rd at St. Dominic’s Church. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am with mass at 11:00 am. In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Little Sisters of the Poor in Mobile.
