Janet Ballard, age 87, passed away at a local nursing facility on Wednesday, February 18th. She is survived by her daughter, Penny Griffith, grandchildren Adam Wade Griffith and Anita Griffith of Millbrook, AL, loving brother, Dr. Walker B. Stewart, nieces Sydney Stewart Whiting (Bill), Leslie Stewart Gafford (John), nephews Corky Stewart (Brigitte), and Brackin Stewart, as well as many great nieces and nephews, to whom she was affectionately known as Aunt Net. Janet retired from Gayfers in Montgomery and moved to Mobile to live out her life with Walker and Marylyn Stewart, where she was loved and cared for deeply. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 on Monday, 2/23/15, her 88th birthday, at Sears Chapel Methodist Church in Rockford, AL
