

Jeannie Marie Pynes, July 17, 1933 – December 13, 2017 passed away peacefully Wednesday evening. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willey Pynes; parents, Hubert and Kate Mobley; sisters, Mildred (Mickey) Mobley, Barbara Todd and a brother, Wiley Clark (Buddy) Mobley. She is survived by a sister, June Sellers and 7 nieces. Jeannie was born in Bon Secur Alabama, she attended the Taladega School for the Blind and deaf. She left there after graduating and later she returned to live in Taladega and work as a switch board operator for the school. Later she moved to Jackson, Mississippi where she worked for the Mississippi Industries for the Blind for 17 years. Her handicap did not stop her from living her life. She trained with guide dogs and would move about on her own until she was struck by a car. She was very creative, like playing the piano and writing poetry. She managed her business affairs wisely, invested and planned well for her later years.
