Jennie H. Merchant – age 96, went to be with her Heavenly Father on September 23, 2010. Mrs. Merchant grew up in Mineola, Alabama and was a resident of Mobile since 1942. She was a longtime member of Springhill Ave. Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Heflin T. Merchant. She is survived by her children, Steve (Paulette) Merchant and Kathi (Larry) Willingham; grandchildren, T.J. Willingham, Michael A. (Teri) Perkins and Stephanie (Ricki) Davis; great-grandchildren, Ken Hearn, Kara Perkins and Blaze Davis; many nieces, nephews, and other family members. The family would like to give special thanks to Connie Salva, Leslie Kelly, Kara Marshall and the staff at Asera Care Hospice. Funeral services will be held Monday, September 27, 2010, at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home on Dauphin Street. Visitation will begin at 12:00 noon prior to services. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
