Jewel Syble Ott, age 92, joined his wife in their heavenly home on Monday, October 24, 2016, surrounded by his family. He was born November 2, 1923, in Thomasville, AL, the son of Okey and Myrtle (Hutto) Ott. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, June Horton Ott; along with five brothers, and three sisters. He is survived by his six children, Eugene “Shortie” (Barbara) Ott, Melton (Hazel) Ott, Paul (Darline) Ott, Jerry “Doby” (Melinda) Ott, Susan (Ronald) Lins, JoAnn (Donnie) Barnhill; fourteen grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; one sister; many nieces, nephews, family, and friends. He retired from Gulf Lumber and enjoyed spending his time laughing with his family and friends. A visitation of remembrance will be held Thursday, October 27, 2016, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Radney Funeral Home, Mobile.
