Jimmy Lane Boyd Sr., age 70, of Mobile, Alabama passed away on Thursday October 4, 2018. Jimmy was born July 18, 1948. He served his country in Viet Nam with the U.S. Army, where he received the Purple Heart Medal. Jimmy also served with the Mobile Police Department, Mobile Fire Department and served on the grounds of Pine Crest Cemetery. He loved animals, music, playing guitars, motorcycles and his grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents John Lee Boyd and Vennie Crystal Reeves Boyd of Lapine, AL., wife of twenty years Anna Day Boyd. Survivors include his son Jimmy (Dana) Boyd, Jr., sister Barbara (Howard) Deck, step-daughter Tonya (Ben) Mansour. Grandchildren Mason, Gavin and Chandler, step grandchildren Ramzi Landon and Farah. Special cousin Tommy Davison and his loving extended family and friends.
Visitation for Jimmy will be held Friday, October 12, 2018 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Pine Crest Funeral Home, 1939 Dauphin Island Parkway, Mobile, AL. 36605. Funeral service will be Friday, October 12, 2018 from 11:00 AM. from the chapel. Interment will follow in Pine Crest Cemetery.
