Joan Champagne Morgan

Joan Champagne Morgan age 88, longtime resident of Mobile, Alabama passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 8, 2025. She is preceded in death by her father Elmo G. Champagne, Sr. and mother Evelyn Champagne sister, Cookie Elwell, brothers Elmo G. Champagne, Jr., Robert Champagne, and son Michael Jude Morgan.

Mrs. Morgan is survived by her loving husband of 65 years Ronald Morgan, daughter Michelle Eckhoff, son Matthew Morgan, sister Tommie Champagne, granddaughters Kaila (Jarvis) Ossa, Maddison (Jean Michel) Rizk, Marie Jessica Morgan, five great-granddaughters and many nieces and nephews`.

Joan was a devoted member of St. Dominic Catholic Church. She was an amazing, faithful woman and prayer warrior. She loved growing African Violets, square dancing with Dad, crossword puzzles and playing Scrabble. Many friends and devoted Catholics filled her life. She was very loved.

The family would like to express their gratitude to Gentiva Hospice and Mary Westry for their loving care.

A celebration of life will be held at St. Dominic Catholic Church on Saturday, May 24, 2025 with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. in the Murphy Center. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m.
