Joanne Pfleger Martin, at the age of 66, left us to go to a better place on Wednesday, December 12, 2012.
Joanne was a loving mother and a caring friend to all that knew her. She touched the lives of hundreds of people, and she never met a stranger. Her laugh, loving nature, and desire to help people will be missed by all. Joanne approached every challenge with determination, dedication, and a sense of pride. She was a lifetime resident of Mobile, and she graduated from Murphy High School. She attended Marymount University in Virginia.
Joanne was preceded in death by her mother, Anita Beardslee Pfleger, and her father, Sydney S. Pfleger.
She is survived by her two children, her grandson, and her dog: her devoted son, Sydney Pfleger Martin; her loving daughter, Florence Morris; her grandson, David Morris; and her prized pet, Foxie Martin accompanied by many friends that were like family to her.
Visitation will be at Radney Funeral Home on Monday, December 17, 2012 from 12 noon until 1:30 PM. Graveside services will be at 2 PM in Pine Crest Cemetery.
