John Edward Salas, a native of Oklahoma, and a longtime resident of Mobile and Stockton, died on Sunday. He is survived by his wife, Irene Salas; four children, Kathryn Irene Norwood, Thomas E. Salas, Lena Marie Roberts and Clayton Leon Salas; brothers and sisters, Norman “Leon” Salas, Jimmy Dale Thomason, Mary Frances Laudermilk, George Thomason, Jerry Thomason, Cleo Salas, David Salas and Romeo Salas; five grandchildren, two great grandchildren and other relatives. Funeral services will be held from the Chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Thursday, December 12, 2013 at 2 PM. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 5 to 8 PM.
