Mr. Johnnie D. Harris – a native of Quitman, MS and a longtime resident of Mobile, AL died Saturday, July 9, 2011 at his residence. Mr. Harris was a U. S. Navy veteran serving from 1949 until 1953 and retired from Armstrong World Industry. He is survived by his wife, Ruth Harris; three children, Cheryl Hall, Michael D. Harris, and Ralph E. Harris; one brother, Robert F. Harris; two sister, Evie Lee Todd and Julia McGregor; nine grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives. Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon on Tuesday, July 12, 2011 from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 10 A.M. until 12 Noon on Tuesday at the funeral Home. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
