

Joseph Clark Daughdrill, a true one of a kind, passed away Monday, March 2, 2015 after 74 years of a life that he did his way. He was a graduate of U.M.S. and attended the University of Alabama. Upon returning to Mobile, he began a career in sales at Smith-Kelly Supply Company and continued on to several other companies, accumulating over 40 years of service in the industry. An avid outdoorsman with a particular talent for fishing, his second home was the Mobile-Tensaw River Delta.
Mr. Daughdrill was preceded in death by his parents, Everett Lamar and Louise Clark Daughdrill. He is survived by his beloved wife of 34 years, Cassie English Daughdrill; two children, Stanley Eugene Winter, Jr. (Susanne) and Lacey Daughdrill Smith (Glenn); cherished grandchildren, Kinley Grace Winter and Morris Clark Smith; sister, Kay Daughdrill Bradley, and her sons, Gary, Charles, and Benjamin Clark Gay; and many other family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at Christ United Methodist Church on Friday, March 6, 2015, at 1 p.m. The family will receive friends at the church beginning at 12 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105-3678; or Open Doors, Inc.
