Joseph Charles Testen – born January 14, 1931 in New Boston, PA and a resident of Mobile, AL since 1972, died Sunday, March 10, 2013 in a local health care facility. Mr. Testen was a State Licensed Engineer and worked for Ingall’s Shipyard for 30 years. He was a U. S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He earned his B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Penn State and his M.A. Degree from the University of South Alabama in 1979. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Marianne Stoic Testen of Mobile, AL; five children, David of Reston, VA, Monica of Mobile, AL, Mark of Snohomish, WA, Laura of Florence, AL, and Daniel of Mobile; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Mr. Testen was a past member of Camera South, Astronomical Society and Mobile Woodturners. A memorial service will be held at 6:30 P.M. on Thursday, March 14, 2013 in the Rue Dauphine Room at Radney Funeral Home, Dauphin Street. The family will receive friends from 5:30 P.M. until 6:30 P.M. on Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Bay Area Food Bank or the Salvation Army.
