Joycelyn Theresa Munster

Mrs. Joycelyn Theresa Munster - born in Algiers, LA on October 18, 1923 residing in New Orleans, LA for 43 years and a resident of Mobile, AL for the past 46 years, died Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at home surrounded by her family. She was a member of Saving Grace Lutheran Church. Joyce was a very loving wife and mother who put her faith and family first.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Thomas J. Munster, Jr. and Stanley J. Fos, her husband who died in World War II, and her great-granddaughter, Courtney Christoffer.

Joyce is survived by her daughter, Penny (Sam) Turberville of Mobile, AL; her son, Thomas J. (Lois) Munster of Loranger, LA; her brother, Hamilton (Terry) Guenard of Waveland, MS; her grandchildren, Michelle (David) Callen, John "Chris" Dryton, both of Mobile, AL, Angela (Michael) Christoffer of Bay St. Louis, MS, and Candice Munster of Loranger, LA; and eight great-grandchildren. She also has other devoted family, Teresa (Carl) Horton, Steve (Minnie) Turberville, Terry (Lisa) Turberville and their family; her Godson, Mickey Maitre and the Maitre family of Chalmette, LA.

A special thank you to Ms. Judy Lambert who lovingly assisted in her care the past six years, Dr. Timothy Ahmadi and his wife Elaine, a personal friend, for all their kindness and care throughout the years, the staff of Mobile Infirmary Hospice, especially Ms. Debra Wilson, RN for her kindness, Tracy Williams, Aide for her tender care, Ms. Gwen Guys and Chaplain Ed Connick.

Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon on Friday, July 6, 2012 at Saving Grace Lutheran Church on Snow Road, with Reverend Harmon Lewis officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 A.M. until 12 Noon on Friday at the church. Pallbearers will be Samuel Turberville, John Chris Dryton, Michael Christoffer, David Callen, Mickey Maitre, and Henry Maitre, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Henry Maitre, Sr. and Hamilton Guenard.
